Hickory Knob Triathlon Sprint

Well I did it and boy it was not what I thought at all. I knew of the stories but just thought it was bull. Well i learned real fast about the feet to the face and swimming over people. The swim was by far the most exciting and overwhelming of the 3 considering I have only been swimming for 1 month(for distancve). Once I was on the ground I was happy, and could not believe the group I was in were novices. All in all I had fun and learned alot about the sport and have alot to work on. Thanks for all the info on this site, it really was helpful.

When Set Up Events release there schedule I will know. I liked the way they ran this event it was very family friendly, so I will try and do the SC stuff with them.

I live in Florence, SC and did two setup events this year. I did Hartsville and Pee Dee. I like them too. Didn't find out about them until this year though. I think I'm going to race the whole series in 2008. You up for it?

I've done a few of their events in Virginia and I completely agree.  They are a great group and all their races have been well run.   I think they usually put the schedule up in January.

Congrats !! Sounds like you had a good time and learned alot. I know what you mean about the swim...definitely not easy to understand until you have been there.

Gotta race report up yet?

Congratulations on your first race, and after only one month of training. Just think what you will be able to do next year.

congratulations!

Yeah, I know what you mean about the swim.  The mass-start swim is definitely my weakness when it comes to tris.  Some people love it. I suppose some learn to love it. I'm trying to get myself to be one of the latter.
