This was a half marathon relay that I did with 3 friends from Houston Fit, my fall and winter training program for the Houston half-marathon in January. Beeptx and I ran the second leg, and our two first legs finished together. I think there were PRs for all 4. The prize for getting 3rd in the women's mixed relay division was a cool painted rock - check out the picture.

Most of the people doing this race weren't on relay teams but were racing the full half-marathon distance, so it was weird coming out of the chute with 10-minute milers who were starting their second half of 13 miles. I tried to keep that in mind when I was near the finish and trying to get the umph to kick it in - these people had done 13!

More interval training at race pace, but that'll have to wait until after the tri off-season because for now I'm focusing on swim technique.
