Comments:

i started in the middle of the pack with my wife and didn't start my watch until i crossed the start line, about 35 seconds after the gun start. no chip timing....
What would you do differently?:

start nearer the front to get around slower runners / walkers. there were only 331 total runners, so that meant about 400 walkers, alot near the front.
Post race
Warm down:

walked the course backwards to catch my wife coming in, so i jogged the last mile back again with her.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

hills and starting too far back in the pack.
