Subject: Mickey Mouse weigh-in, week 10 (11/12)

Sorry for the late post, but I'm here nevertheless!  And a couple pounds heavier, which was to be expected after last week's unusually large drop.  I'm up to 178.2 but have been holding on that weight just about all week long, so I'm pretty satisfied.  It's the lowest I've been in over 35 years, so dropping another 10 lbs from here is going to be slow going I'm afraid.  We'll see what happens between now and New Years.

Any success stories to report?

Chudley is down to 232 lbs.....again!

Feeling like a YO-YO, but I am staying positive! My activity has been way down due to my tender left hamstring followed up by Halloween, then a huge dose of school assignments combined with a lack of motivation!!!!

Anyways, I feel like I am back on task, I've had a nice little break. Time to get serious again. I am thinking of joining a local Tri-club but am unsure if I should...any comments/advice?

Stable here... 188.5 / 22% BF. I spent 4 days off the workout wagon for "life" reasons. Hoping to get going again tonight.

Still, life under 190 is good.

Up to 172 today - not surprised though. Water weight time. Friday I got a nutrition/health screening at the local Y. All good results since the last one in Feb. I really wanted to be at 22% BF but was at 23% - still better than the 24.5% in Feb.
Have a great week, everyone!

Do I have to weigh in?  Can't I pretend this week didn't happen and I didn't really gain 3 pounds this week?  Sucked getting on that scale this morning because I knew it was going to be bad.  I had birthday dinners and happy hours all week that on top of not being able to run right now really killed me!  Have an appt to get fitted for orthotics on Wed so hopefully next weeks numbers will be much better!

Weighed in at 249 this week.....up 3   Hope everyone else did better!

I am having a really tough time with this challange.....I just cant stay motivated.  My stress levels are sky high but I am getting the exercise in to stay fit plus I teach spinning so I have to go then....I just cant stop eating !

Today I was 179.5 so I have gone down very little over the course but in a day or two it goes right back up there.

I find it really difficult to stay motivated this time of year. There are no races...not really much to train for. I usually need a carrot dangling in-front of me! Keep moving everyone, you're not alone here, let's try to motivate each other!!!!

This is a tough time of the year, with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up.  Holiday dinners are tools of the devil!  The only thing that works for me is to try and arrange a series of good solid workouts around those festive times.  I figure Thanksgiving day is a write-off, so I plan on doing a solid workout the day after and another on one of the weekend days.  I also have Wednesday off so if I can get something done then, even better.  My wife (PT Cruzer) and I are doing a 5-K race on Turkey day morning, so hopefully that will take some of the stress away.  Staying busy is my only defense...I hope that can work for everyone else too!

I'll update the chart when I get home from work tonite.

Two years ago I gained 12 pounds during the holiday season! Shame on me huh?! Last year Jon and I decided to do a half marathon in January as incentive to keep trainning and it really helped me get through the holidays. This year I am a bit nervous...I am not training for anything. So, I have to really come up with a holiday plan and stick to it! My biggest problem is sticking to my workout schedule. I've been so busy with the kiddos that it has interferred with my workouts. My goal this week is to get to the gym (or outside) 6 days!

Week-by week for me!

Kori, I have found some of those monthly challenges to be fun and a good way to focus for a short period of time.  You may look into doing something like that.  It gives you a good way to stay on top of something for 4 weeks, trying to help out your team.  Whether it's riding the trainer, doing a certain number of swim laps, or trying to run 20 days of the month, I really have found them to be beneficial!  Someone is always running something here, and it's also a good way to start inspiring new people and visiting new blogs.

I got into the November challenge where you just set your own goals on anything you wanted to do.  The highlight of my challenge was to get in 30 hours of bike riding in the month, either outdoors or on the trainer.  Coupling that with 50 miles of walking/running and doing 1000 situps in November...well, it's keeping me busy!

Here's the chart for the week so far:
