Helen, sorry to hear that you're still having problems. That must be really frustrating. Are you're eyes all healed up so that you can start swimming?
I'm so happy that spring is here. We've had wonderful weather and it's so nice to get back outside again. I had a great weekend with a 5K run
(appropriately named the Muddy Trails 5K
) on Saturday, a 20 mile ride with my husband on Sunday through the countryside
(and yes, the cows
), and a 1000y swim when I got home, the first 500y easily without stopping. I cut my run time by 1'12" per mile, so now I'm just really, really slow instead of really, really, really slow! But it's progress, all the same. And last year at this time, I wouldn't have been doing any of it, so I was happy with myself.
I'd love to do a sprint that's scheduled in my area on May 3rd but think I may just volunteer
(still waiting for my son's baseball schedule to be finalized
). It's a 500m OWS and I'm not sure I want to try that my first time out. There's an all women Super Sprint
(200y OWS, 8mile bike, 2mile run
) on Mother's Day, so I think I'll go for that instead. There is a mother/daughter category, so my daughter may give it a try as well.
Most everyone seems to be pretty quiet, looking at the logs. Hope that all is well with each of you.
SPRING has SPRUNG!
