  • Comments: This is a really great race to do, especially if you're a newbie like me. Very well organized and lots of post-race activities (it's a shame that the rained pretty much ruined so much of what they had planned for after the race). Being part of an entire "Triathlon Festival" makes it even greater as you can check out the more experienced triathletes compete in the Oly/HIM the following day.

  • Comments: This is the third sponsor of a Galveston triathlon and they did a great job with the festiville. The should straighten out the run and it would be better.

  • Comments: As my first tri, of course I have nothing to compare to. But I loved it! It was organized and run very well in my opinion. I liked how they had numbered bike racks to help find the bike and a well mapped out course. If it wasn't pouring down rain durin the run, it would have been perfect!!

  • Comments: Best race so far! Overall rankings based on women only. For all contestants, I was 374/525 overall; 374 on the swim; 390 on the bike; 434 on the run.

  • Comments: First of all, let me congratulate my dear husband on winning the house bet. You left it all out there and I couldn't be prouder. Now that you're getting Powercranks, I want a bigger handicap. Second, Keith (KEJ) and Endorfun Sports put on a fantastic race! I have been looking forward to this for a while now and it really was everything I expected and more. The emails and updates in the weeks leading up to the race were great and just got me more pumped up! I will definitely race with you guys again!

  • Comments: This was an outstanding race and a must do for next year. It was only my 2nd race. My first was the same distance and an easier course, and I cut 19 minutes off my time. I was thrilled with that. I'd hoped to go faster (sub 1:30) and would have if not for my swim challenges. I did get to meet some great people, including the BT guys, so that was fun. Always wishing I could meet more.

  • Comments: I love this race and will be back next year. Next year I would like to get one of those finisher medals and race the quarter. I also want to hang out with the BT folk. I didn't get a chance to meet any of them and that is my greatest regret from this race. Next time guys. Thanks for reading my report.

  • Comments: Endurofun put on a great race. the course was well marked, well manned, and very safe. AFter the award ceremony, in which BT's very own Tri_it_cajun_style won 3rd place in her AG we headed outside into the downpour to pack up our transition area. As you can well imagine, everything was soaked, filled, and messy. At least my shoes were clean now, right? The only issue is that now everything metal is rusting! Keith put on a great race, gave great swag, and I really look forward to doing this race again next year...provided my weather machine is working properly.

  • Comments: This is my first tri. I throughly enjoyed it. Next time I will try a few different things to maybe cut 3-5 mins off of my time. I ended up in the Hospital emergency room Saturday night Sunday morning. Went in around 1:00 am with horrible stomach pains. Come to find out I had a pretty bad intestinal infection. Having two days mandatory bed rest has given me time to think about this event. During my ride my stomach started cramping. Not usual for me. Wonder if that was a beginning symptom of my infection. However, I am hooked. Once I recover fully I think I will be more excited about participating in my next event. Maybe it won't rain at the end.

  • Comments: Best organized event I have ever participated in! I've done lots of 5k's and cycling tours, but the folks on the course for this race were a cut above!

  • Comments: I enjoyed this race despite the torrential downpour of rain after I finished. I was thankful I wasn't still on the course as I had family that we tried to watch finish. This was my first tri, so I don't have much to compare to, but I do appreciate the fact that this seemed to go very smoothly, with lots of great volunteers (including the little cheering squad during the run), and lots of amenities.

  • Comments: My amazingly supportive Mom (to anyone who was there, she was likely one of the loudest bystanders) and my boyfriend (who took some great pictures) were SUCH troopers. We were all completely drenched by the end of the event, but no one complained and was so positive. I can't describe how awesome they both were and how thankful I was to have them both there. As for the race, it was absolutely fabulous. I have never seen so many volunteers lining a race course with such enthusiasm. The pre-race expo was AWESOME. Tons of very worthwhile vendors with samples and great sales. It was terribly unfortunate that the weather clearly spoiled some of the post-race festivities (Budweiser had a really cool mini-patio area set up). But even despite the weather, the effort that was put into the race definitely showed. It was outstanding. PS - if anyone else stayed at the Ramada... did your room feel like a swamp also? I know it was very humid outside, but man... our room never felt dry

  • Comments: Keith and the Endurofun folks did a fantastic job with the inaugural run of this event: great course, good support, quality schwag (very nice long-sleeved tech shirt, finisher's race towel and water bottle, sponsor logo towel, sponsor nutrition samples), preliminary results posted on the net the SAME DAY. Committed volunteers stayed out there through the rain. The only criticism is that the run course was so twisting and turning that it was not always 100% clear which way to go, even with many volunteers stationed around directing. The crazy rain did not help with that of course. And, I didn't see any mile markers on the run, so I don't know if there were any. (They could have blown/floated away, or I could have missed them in the gale.)

  • Comments: WIsh so bad we had better weather. the race was set up to be amaazing. Could not beleieve all the work that it looked like went into it. This is a great race and Keith should know he did a great job. I will 100% do this race next year except it may be the 1/4 or half :) First one is in the books, I am hooked! :)

  • Comments: Unfortunately, the heavens opened up and it POURED about 30 minutes after I finished. I felt bad for the poor people who started after me and were still on the course. I was looking forward to the post race activities (especially the free beer) but we ended up hiding in the car.

  • Comments: I was actually quite pleased and pleasantly surprised with my results! In my first tri about six months ago I was 24 of 27 in my AG, and 160 of 220 overall. Today was my second tri, and showed huge improvement! I thought this was a well organized, professionally run race. Unfortunately heavy rain made the post race stuff fairly miserable, but I guess you can't control the weather!
