  • Comments: Nice local race. Pinchot park is a great place for a triathlon. Perfect for people with families who want to come out and cheer. Proceeds go to charity. Lots of AG awards for such a small event.

  • Comments: My main goal for this, my first triathlon, was simply to finish. Seeing as how I did that, I am happy. I was hoping to finish in 1:55 but missed that by 3+ minutes. Immediately after the race I was really bummed about that even considering the leg problems. On the ride home I was able to process a little and came to the realization that 8 months ago I was 65 lbs. heavier than I am now and probably could not have swum to the first buoy, made it up a single hill on the bike, or run one mile. Considering all the progress I have made, I feel pretty good, though I do need to redeem myself in my next two races.

  • Comments: Blog from website... I am back from my weekend trip out to Lewisberry, PA for my sprint triathlon at Pinchot State Park. The ride down wasn't too bad. It took about two hours to get there. I immediately went to the race site so I could get there before the cut off time to pick up my packet. I was issued everything except for my timing chip. The water was extremely choppy and COLD when I checked it out. I was hoping for a calm night and no rain so the conditions would get better for the race. I rode back to the hotel and checked in. My room was probably one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed at! From a crusty burn in the carpet from where someone plugged an iron in and left it sit on the rug, to a dirty tub, and bits of toilet paper left all over my room! Needless to say, I yanked off all of the sheets to the bed and slept in my clothes on top of the mattress. I left the hotel and went to go find some grub. I ended up finding this Italian place which looked pretty fancy. I had shorts
