  • Comments: WDW Marathon weekend is all about having a good time. Most people will not get PBs here. Lots of photo ops and pretty heavy crowds until mile 8ish. Bottom line is you are coming to have a good time and get a really cool and coveted medal. You should do this at least once to experience it.

  • Comments: I thought the race was well organized and fun. Running through the parks was cool. Although they could have made a few better provisions for the weather. It had been like that all week so it wasn't exactly a surprise. A tent and some heaters would have gone a long way towards making waiting in the parking lot a little more bearable. Post event food was below average - no bagels, nothing hot to drink.

  • Comments: Only problem with Disney events is the way they stage runners before the start, which leaves them standing for up to two hours before they move to the start line.

  • Comments: Just too many walkers that get in the way. I would do this race again to have fun, but it was my first and I was really trying to do my best, I do feel I could have shaved at least 5 min off my time if not for all the walkers and the slowing down and dodging i had to contend with.

  • Comments: Pretty course. Too crowded. Insufficient indoor facilities to get out of cold, wind, and rain. Poor post race food selection and poor cooldown areas (also lack of cover from rain and wind)

  • Comments: Worst thing was bag check. Need big improvement when bad weather like this year. Also, a few hundred propane heaters placed strategically around the finish/staging area would be nice when it's below 40 degrees!

  • Comments: The race was very organized considering its size. Lots of water stops with plenty of volunteers. Post race food was pretty lame considering the size and cost. Bagels and fruit and maybe pizza (i saw the boxes but didn't see it on the table). It would have been nice to have my favorite post race recovery drink, hot chocolate!

  • Comments: Where in the heck were the chocolate chip cookies and some freaking chicken soup? I mean, there are only like 200 restaurants on the property. Don't you think they could manage a hot post race cup of soup in the freezing temps. And who doesn't have cookies after a race....SERIOUSLY!!!

  • Comments: The event took place in a sleet/drizzle mix and it was quite cool/cold. I think that the post-event activities would have been very very good had the weather cooperated. The only hitch was at baggage pick up where there was a long line. Runners were getting very uncomfortable as their core temperatures dropped (it was 30 when I got back to the hotel).

  • Comments: Not Disney's fault the weather was horrible. But it affected my running in a major way. Strong headwinds...ran with three times the amount of clothing and sniffling the whole way to the finish.....

  • Comments: Love this race. So well supported and fun. My favorite part is the chuch choir singing to you as you round the last bend for the 200 yard dash to the finish. I also love spending the next few days doing the parks! All the walking makes for a great recovery and fun for the whole family!

  • Comments: Good race and fun course. I was kinda thrown through a loop when they told me my corral filled up and wouldn't let me in, but I got over it pretty quickly. All in all very well put together and I had a blast out there.

  • Comments: This race is very well organized & supported. The only downside is that you have to get there by 4:00 am, and wait for 2 hours before the race even starts, but I understand why they do it. I like that there is a relatively low limit on the number of participants, too. It's a huge race, but it wasn't too completely crowded. They also had the largest water stops I have ever seen. Overall, the race is a lot of fun, and I can see why people are so eager to do the Goofy's Challenge. I think I might want to sign up for it some day!

  • Comments: FUN! I went to Orlando DETERMINED to just do the half marathon. But, the seond I got to Wide World of Sports for packet pickup I knew I would do both. When I got my packet they put the Goofy Challenge bracelet on me and this year they gave us Goofy Challenge shirts! I knew I couldn't have that shirt and know that I didn't do both races. I know it was stupid, but I don't regret it at ALL and I had an awesome PR marathon, so there!

  • Comments: Well done race and kind of cool running thru the park. They kept you entertained with bands along the route. The aide stations were plentiful and well stocked with tones of volunteers. I would definately do it again esp as it is so close to home. I'm going to call this a PR as the Luna chicks race isn't exactly well organized nor are the distances accurate, and I just went by my iPod+. I certainly felt a TON stronger during this race than I did 2 weeks ago so it is a triumph for me regardless of time, pace etc. Next goal is sub 2:20 and distant goal 2:10...I think I got 2:10 in me. I can say that I did my very very best and that is all anyone can ask of themselves.

  • Comments: Long stretches without any crowd support. Several chutes too narrow for the number of runners to easily get through and pass others. Too many walkers in front of runners. (I started in last wave to be with my daughter, who had no prior races and hence no seeded time.) Passing the walkers, who were shoulder-to-shoulder, was difficult.

  • Comments: Growing up going to Disney, it was awesome to run through the parks and was even better that Brad and I ran together!! Some parts were a little boring, but the bands/DJs and characters were fun and distracting.

  • Comments: this is a very well run race. i would prefer to have more food stops along the way, but the course is great and the characters and entertainment along the course are nice. it sucks to get up that early, but you really could arrive a lot later than we did and be fine if you had your act together (don't need to drop off bag, etc.) it's noce to be done so early and have the whole day left. it's also good to beat the heat. even though it has been too cold in the past, it was hot this year and running at noon would be no good. anyone who likes disney should plan to run it some day.
