  • Post race activities? Good
  • Overall course based on my ability: Just right

  • Comments: The race was extremely well organized. There were plenty of volunteers and there was always an aid station nearby. Only real issue was the aid station that ran out of cups on the run course.

  • Comments: the race organizers need to do a better job of getting athletes to the transition area separate from the spectators. There should be two lines for busses; one for athletes and one for spectators. They also need a way to get busses out earlier after the race. Running out of cups and sponges at the aid stations was unacceptable, but at least the aid stations were very frequent. The aid stations on the bike were flawlessly executed.

  • Comments: So good and so bad - Great sherriff and volunteer support. The local sherriff even had a speed trap set up on Marsh Rd. on the bike course set up Friday afternoon (no, he didn't get me, I stopped to look at that hill, and he walked across the street to talk to me). Great aid station support, which I really think helped to keep injuries to a minimum (anyone know that everyone made it okay?). Then, such lousy stuff - lots of course changes, almost no communication with the athletes, inconsistent information in EVERY communication that did go out. No officiating for the late racers (besides the above, I passed a guy who ran the entire run in big over-ear silver headphones - not a mark on his number, let alone the three strikes he should have had in the first hundred yards). And, dang it, if the cutoff is 4:00 for official finishers, then when I finish before 3:30, you better have the same food, massage, and finisher's shwag you had for everyone who finished at noon or before. My money is

  • Comments: The two areas I think the race directors failed at were the swim waves (putting young men right behind the W40-44 was tough) and the run course. I'm sure they were limited due to DisneyWorld venue, but the run really was horrible.

  • Comments: Can't wait to do it again next year. I went into this race with the expectation that I was going to finish, and I did. After my goggle problems, when I thought my race was over before it started, I was just thankful for every inch I moved through the course. I can't say enough about the volunteers out there. They stood out there for hours in the blazing sun and were just awesome. Their encouragement, especially on the run, is what kept me going. It was also so great to meet other BT'ers. I made so many new friends and i can't wait to see you all again.

  • Comments: The pre race activities were a little lacking but the race day itself was very well done. I liked the themed aid stations, they seemed to have made a big effort to deal w/ the heat as well as they could. I would do it again.

  • Comments: Not the best race, but a good experience. I certainly learned from it. I didn't have the adrenaline rush going that I had when I did my first HIM, so this race relied a bit more on will-power/decision making. I did push hard enough to feel beat up by it, but I could have done some things better.

  • Comments: What a great experience. Prior the race I was VERY nervous for at least 2 week leading up to race. I was nervous because I knew I had done lots of training and this time I really had no excuses if the race would have resulted in a bad performance. Also I was a bit nervous because my last race was 8 months ago and you do lose a bit of the feel for the racing experience but fortunate it came back to me very fast. Through the race I felt like I was working steady but right. I made a huge effort to avoid getting caught in any macho games and focus on my OWN race. In a long race such as a HIM you cannot afford to worry too much for the others and you have to rely entirely on your training and plan. Looking back at what I had accomplish in just 2 years in the sport is just amazing and I am so happy and thankful to be able to be healthy to do this and to all the BTers who keep me motivated when I am down or honest when I am wrong. This was the very 1st place which I used to seek information when

  • Comments: I did not like the little village we were staying in, it was too far away from dining.
