  • Comments: The race was run well, swag bag was decent. Price was good. Start time was early (6:00am) but temp was cool. I'll probably run this again next year. My time is close enough to the 2:00 mark that it REALLY makes me want to get in under that. There is another local HM in Oct that is run by the same group. That is my next goal to set.

  • Comments: I have to give this race a great rating because Hubby was so involved. :) Nonetheless, it was very well done and very well managed under tough conditions. Some of the best volunteers.

  • Comments: Yay for Marathon Makeover doing such an excellent job with this. The race was a knockout in its first running last year with 800 runners, and to have 1,200 sign up for this year, is a testament to how well it's run.

  • Comments: I would do this race again. I wish it was at a cooler time of the year, but the course was nice, there were tons of volunteers and the police did an excellent job along the course.

  • Comments: Marathon Makeover put on an excellent first-year race. Wonderful course, tons of volunteers, lots of water, good food and entertainment afterward, and quick results. Really, couldn't ask for more.

  • Comments: The post race spread was sort of meager, but given the choice, I'd rather a great during the race organization. They definitely got it right. They had a contest that offered $1000 to the best "cheer section" on the course, so there was some great (and often hilarious) moral support. Plenty of drink stations with plenty of fluid. Lots of police presence. Great course layout (even with the hill at mile 11). Overall, a very enjoyable event, and this makes my second "legacy" I've started in the last seven months in my hometown.
