  • Comments: Having team mates cheering and getting to meet some great people made for a fun day. Excellent chow in the dining hall. I had hoped to do a little better. It was a good event to highlight areas that I need to work on.

  • Comments: I'd give it a 5, but they need to do something about route 54A. The venue is awesome. The people are very helpful and supportive. The water is great and so is the run. In fact 75% of the bike roads are great.

  • Comments: Great race, they just need to get rid of the HEED at aid stations. Stuff tastes like pee on ice. I wanted some type of sports drink, but that cold ocean water makes me want to hurl...YUK! (Probably not the best way to get a sponsor....but at least you'll know when I like something for real) One of the best post race meals you can get. Full on meal at the Keuka College caffeteria. So here's the thing about this sport and why it is so great. I wanted to do better today, but didn't. It didn't stop me from having a great time. I got to see pretty much the whole Train-This team race, in our bad a$$ team kits, that we make look so damn good. High 5's all around. My training partner and friend Matt C. had a bad day, got a flat 5 miles out, rode it in, chased me down on the run, and than we pushed each other hard. Really hard. The kid is a true competitor...most would DNF...not this kid. That was cool. My coach was the MC for the race which enabled us to hear her voice

  • Comments: Would like to rank this race higher but until the state gets off it's butt and fixes 54A a three is all it gets...I know people that skip this race because of the jarring of that darn road. I learned alot about myself at this race and really enjoyed the experience. It reaffirmed why I love triathlons and renewed my energy and spirit.

  • Comments: The first part of the Bike course needs to be paved. Early in the race I hit a pothole and my aero bars bent downward. People were losing water bottles. Combine that with wet conditions and someone is going to really get hurt.
