  • Comments: The timing guy is a friend of mine, so I don't like to criticize, but c'mon man, get the spilts right. Normally I don't rely on them, but I hit the wrong button on my watch because of my gloves and screwed mine up. Adding up my times of their splits doesn't equal my overall time, which I got from the clock at the finish line/some figuring of the times on my watch. The splits of the finisher two spots ahead of me, add up to a slower time than mine do.

  • Comments: Disappointed there was only water to drink post race, maybe there was HEED but I didn't see any. Lots of volunteers braving the crappy weather. AG prizes were pretty lame, in 2010 I got a hat, this year it a war a cheap running belt wallet which I will never use.

  • Comments: Good job, Final Stretch! Love the big mile marker flags on the bike course. I'm not sure how you got them to stay upright, but they were pretty cool. Nice to see Denise and Steve today too!

  • Comments: I was 22nd overall, 207 individual participants. 3rd in AG and that includes Charlie Roach who was 5th overall and is nationally ranked. I was only 27 sec behind the 2nd place guy in my AG. His splits are missing so I'm not sure where he beat me the most. Good first race of the year. SInce my swim is not that strong, I'm better suited for dus than tris if I only wanted results. Good season opening race, I'll probably plan on doing this again next year.

  • Comments: Nice job, Final Stretch! Lots of giveaway prizes at the end. I got a cool new hat and Mario won the wetsuit. Love door prizes! One complaint. We need post-race food that doesn't include meat. I know, it's kind of picky, but my relish and mustard on a hotdog bun wasn't great. A cookie would have been nice. Nice showing for TriRochester today too! AG rankings aren't posted yet. Will get them added when I can.

  • Comments: Splits unknown at this time. The event was not chip timed, and they say they'll update the website with split info, but we'll see. I'll update this if I end up getting splits. I didn't race with my Garmin as it is more trouble than it is worth for a short race. First year for this event, but it was put on by an established company. I was a bit surprised to see no timing chips, but if they end up publishing splits I guess I don't really have a beef with that. Definately a good early-season choice in coming years.
