  • Comments: https://racesonline.com/events/revolution3-quassy-half-olympic-tri/r... I just love the Rev 3! A special place in my heart being my first tri (the HIM in 2012) and multiple 'full revolution' finishes. Too bad that is no longer an option, but you never know. I'm pretty sure the logistics of having both races together was what messed up the awards/timing, but I still love the race.

  • Comments: I love this race. I still wish they would do better with parking. Two entrances into the park would make it twice as fast. It could also use some more shelter and seats for sunny/rainy days. I am lucky to have a super strong support group around me that starts with my wife Denise. Joining the Cyclonauts has been wonderful and there are so many people who have opened up (especially JimS/Gerry/Doug/Mary/James and so many others) and shared experiences and having someone to S/B/R with is priceless for a guy who does 99% of his training solo. Special props to my kids Mike and Kyle who did race weekend with me. Swimming with Tony keeps me at a level which is far above what I could do without him pushing me. Cycling with my Ellington peeps (Jae/Gary/Bill/Mike/Jim) and my EGranby/Canton crew (JimR/Bill etc) are always fabulous bike training days. And Bobby, DC/DreamChaser has been my idol and mentor for triathlon from the beginning. Very special seeing and talking to him during the event.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: Quassy is tough - no doubt. Hills, hills and hills. But I keep coming back!! Rev3 does a great job - everything was well organized and the volunteers were some of the best I've experienced - proactive, enthusiastic, etc. The late start was due to fog on the lake, not their fault. I would rate it a 5 for how they manage the event, but the course difficulty makes it a 4 to me.

  • Comments: Still love this race. Challenge didn't change much but they stopped handing out icey towels at the finish. I loved that cold thing and was looking forward to it. Plus I like to use them at the gym. A lot better than a medal, but a small thing. Very nice race and I think I'll sign up for Maine.

  • Comments: Rev puts on a great race. The swag bag this year was a little light compared to the HIM they did last year at OOB. There were plenty of volunteers around the course and things were managed very well.

  • Comments: Rev3 and Quassy are fantastic. I'm not sure if I'll travel to any of their other races but definitely doing this one again. I'm leaning towards the Revolution (Oly on Saturday, HIM on Sunday) next year. I can race the Oly and use the Half as a hard training day for IMLP. We'll see.

  • Comments: overall a great first triathlon experience. event seemed pretty well organized, especially given the weather. tough, challenging course. goal was to break 3 hours but a couple bike malfunctions, rain, and that last short steep hill on the run made me come up a bit short. very satisfied overall with performance, look forward to the next one.

  • Comments: COuldn't do anything about the rain which turned the finish line and expo into a muddy mess, but great volunteers toughing it out in the rain and the rain tapered off once we finished.

  • Comments: I thought from the beginning I was over my head in signing up for this race. I was right. When I drove the course the night b4, I thought I might DNF, and that was before the I knew about the rain. I finished, I didn't get hurt, I wasn't last, except in my age group of 11 people and I helped some one and thanked every one.I prayed for many.

  • Comments: Rev3 puts on a great race. These were nasty conditions, and Rev3 still executed - great attitudes from their team and volunteers, good swag, food, everything. I did the HIM the past 2 years, but did the Oly this year because I had a commitment on Sunday. Oly was done well, just like the HIM and was a good challenging course. Happy with the race and my performance, despite a nasty, rainy day.

  • Comments: Rev 3 really puts on a great race. Well organized and they did a great job considering the weather. I guess it's easy to put on a race when it's warm and sunny, but they really helped me to feel like I was safe on the course. Plenty of signage and verbal cues on the tough downhill/ turn combinations on the bike. Fantastic aid stations on the run (water, gatorade, bananas, gu). Overall a great race, especially considering the conditions.

  • Comments: Rev 3 puts on a great race. I've never done a WTC race, so I can't compare but Rev3 Quassy is a first class race all around. Great Race for families, with the Little Rev Family Adventure Race and the race being at a amusement park (Sutiable for little kids, not so much teenagers)
