  • Comments: I would HIGHLY recommend this race! I loved seeing the pros, loved seeing Sister Madonna on course, loved loved loved St. Pete area. Beauutiful run on Snell Island, right past multi-million dollar homes. Plus lots of fun with the pelicans and the BT Mafia in Florida. Made for great times. This is a great destination race!!!

  • Comments: Would do it again if was on the mainland but will be too far from HI. Fun going to Tampa Bay Rays vs the Red Sox Friday evening and hanging out with BTers Saturday evening. Good expo- picked up some tri shorts for my sister, new helmet(Bell Vela- cheap) as my Atmos had a broken retention system when I took it out of the bike box on Friday(think the plastic got brittle, based on my two year rule it was probably due for replacement anyway but I hadn't planned on it yet), Profile Design Aquacell and some Luna Moons(like Clif ShotBlocks but more palatable)

  • Comments: This is a great race. Always a ton of BTers doing it, so always meeting someone new. Plus a great chance to see old friends who I don't get to see all the time. Wish the swim wasn't so rough, but I love this course and the race overall.

  • Comments: This was the first time I've raced in 7 months, and the first time I've done a race where I've had to set up transition in almost a year. It's like riding a bike. Once you get in the groove, everything comes back to you. It felt so good to be in a race atmosphere again. This race was partly about setting a PR, but also about revenge; mostly, revenge on myself for being such an idiot at last year's race. Even on the run, I knew that I would easily set a PR, but once I sunk my teeth into the 2:45 goal, and knew it was in my range, I wasn't going to release. I was a pit bull. It was a fantastic way to top off a great and memorable weekend. Thanks to everyone who came out and made it so special.

  • Comments: I love this race. It's huge but to me that's part of the fun. I'd do it every year if it were feasible.

  • Comments: I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this event. As brutal as the run was, and as happy as I was to get to that finish line and have the race over, my first thought was "I'll be back next year and I'm going to be much faster!" This was the longest event I've done and getting to that finish line was awesome. I look forward to getting better and being back again in '09!

  • Comments: I had a great and challenging race. It was pretty exciting racing with that many people in a reasonable well organized event. I'm glad I got an opportunity to face the challenge of a 1500meter open water swim. I had a few mishaps and am pretty sure those will start to happen less often with more experience. I was surprise to see alot of people I knew at the race from work and other random people from Atlanta that I knew. Also saw a number of people from NAMSC while I was out on course. Overall a good event that I plan to do again.

  • Comments: St. Anthony's continues to be my favorite race of the season, mainly because its right here in my back yard, but also it is one of the best ran and organized races I have ever races going on 5 years now, and each year they just out do themselves from the years past.

  • Comments: I'm really proud of what I accomplished today. My goal was to stay strong, feel good and finish happy. I pushed the negative thoughts out of my head and felt really proud. I have lots of things that I want to work on this summer so that I can continue making improvements in the Oly distance. I want to respect the HIM distance and I know that if I can make some progress, I'll get there feeling strong and prepared. Thanks to all of you for your words of encouragement, advice and support. It's helped a ton. My goal was to get out there and have fun and finish strong, and I achieved it. The fact that I finished faster than I thought I would is just icing on the cake. I do feel like I left some of my demons out on that course and that I have more confidence from this race than I ever thought I could gain.
