  • Comments: Pros: local race good course good weather this year lots of people we know who ran Cons: they moved packet pickup from Arlington to DC. Quite hectic to get in/out on a beatiful Saturday during the CB festival they ran out of shirts and bags at the expo. they should have had more volunteers directing people to the open port-o-potties I never got a bottle of water at the end. Granted, I didn't look very hard, but they should have had them available in the finishing chute. Crowded course. They may want to consider smaller waves with more time in between. I am guessing they need to open the streets. Overall, a good race that I am sure I'll do again. While I have more cons than pros, I still enjoy this race. I can only imagine the production it takes for how many runners there are.

  • Comments: They can add some port-o-potties at the start. There seemed to be more people in line for these, than at the starting lines. Other, than that, everything was great. I would have liked a medal though.

  • Comments: My Garmin had me at a 8:56 pace instead of 9:02 official result. It showed 10.11 miles and 1:30. I had a goal of 1:40 so coming in at 1:30 if fine by me. Also, thanks to DocSwim and Newleaf for giving me rides today.

  • Comments: I was very impressed with the organization and execution of this race. The pre-race communications were also very well done, and logistics were clearly described in both the e-mails and website. The only thing that was a minor hassle was the post-race bag check- seems like that could have been organized a little better. And the t-shirt is going immediately to the rag pile (though I didn't pay for the upgraded tech shirt). Definitely will do this one again.

  • Comments: Expo was too crowded, and there weren't enough porta-potties and the water/food was way too far away at the end. BUT those are minor complaints - I loved the course, and it was literally the PERFECT day for a race!

  • Comments: Overall I really liked this race, weather was great and a bunch of friends/family came and ran it too which was cool. I think I really hindered my ability by starting so far behind which I can only blame myself for.

  • Comments: We just wanted to do this race to see what it was all about, very popular in the DC area. really running in the same spots I do when training, was nice to see the cherry blossoms. Everything turned out ok in the end but quite a morning.

  • Comments: this was a really fun race. i would definitely do it again. what a nice way to ring in spring. there were NOT enough bathrooms, and the post race food was not in a good location. the whole post race scene was way too far spread out. otherwise, great event.

  • Comments: The race course was nice and the volunteers were great. The event was well-run but the post food snacks were lacking and so far from the finish. It was hard to get to the tables.

  • Comments: Overall, still a fun race - a bit crowded, though. I guess I didn't notice last year, since I was pretty slow. I am happy with this run - paced it consistently given the crowd, and met my goal time. I need to add though, that compared to my time last year, I was over 10 minutes faster, and dropped my pace by over a minute per mile. So I am pleased :)
