  • Comments: Good race...nice swim (see need more buoys)..challenging bike course..and nice support on the run. Very competitive field at this race which I liked. No OA rankings in each discipline posted in the results section..just AG. I shall be back and hopefully with a much better time!

  • Comments: Good race for the course. Volunteers were great. Post race was very bare bones. transitions were set up in sand which made things annoying at best. sand got EVERYWHERE. Probably won't do this one again without some improvements.

  • Comments: This is a very good race and the volunteers and park residents were great. They did a good job getting that course ready after the storms. I will defintely come back again.

  • Comments: Great volunteers throughout the entire race. Water and gatorade was warm at best. Challenging bike course if your not used to hills.

  • Comments: Definitely a great race for beginners and experienced triathletes. The race tends to get really fast people to show up (overall winner was 1:59:44), yet it is extremely beginner-friendly.

  • Comments: Very much like the race! The distances seem to be fairly close to standard, maybe a little short on the swim and run. The flat course turns out great times, I came in about 4 min faster than I thought based on distance and improved my oly PR by more than 10 minutes. I will come back next year!

  • Comments: A VERY nice race and well organized. Great course with a plethora of fantastic volunteers. Nice crowd support on run (hoses and sprinklers, kids with high-5's, etc). Bike course marshal (on motorcycle) was quite visible; prob. saw him 4 times over the 25 miles. I witnessed zero draft violations. However, no photographer and limited race swag (rather plain cotton T-shirt). Still, overall, an "A" class race. It was my 1st olympic distance race and was very manageable (about 230 triathletes). I would recommend to anyone in the area to do it in 2008; especially if its your first.
