  • Comments: Another race by HMF. The only negative things I heard were about the pace groups. Apparently a lot of them were very off the mark. No issues here though.

  • Comments: Half mary distance is great. Seems like a perfect distance. I pitied the full runners as they were still out on the course and I was basking in the sun, drinking my beer.

  • Comments: Didn't have many bands on half marathon course, which disappointed me. I didn't wear my headphones because I thought there would be live music!!

  • Comments: Had a blast out there today. The course had a few more hills that I thought it would have but that was okay. Some of the roads were a bit rough too. Doesn't matter, it was a great first half marathon!

  • Comments: Much better than I thought, ING will take it over in 2008. Good people and a great atmosphere. I did Philly 1/2 as well and they rated about the same.

  • Comments: This, of course, is Hartford Marathon Foundation's premier event and I have to say that I was very impressed with the well stocked and well manned aid stations, great music on the course and a great newly revised route through Hartford. Awesome post race party and just a great day to be downtown in Hartford.

  • Comments: HMF puts on a good race, and I wasn't disappointed with anything. The new course was really nice and had plenty of aid stations and volunteers. I saw parts of Hartford that I've never seen before (and may never see again) and I thought it was just challenging enough.

  • Comments: As always, the crowd seems to thin at the later portions of the race, when we really need the support. While I like the new course, it still goes through some sections (re: the Colt Building Complex) that are just "dead zones." At least they got rid of the out and back through that section. As my hometown 1/2 marathon, and as one of Beth's races, I'll always run/support it. Thanks again for another great event, with even better weather.

  • Comments: this was a nice setup. not as much music on course and they were saying. and the course is not that pretty of a course. it would be nice if they could send the run into west hartford or wethersfield.

  • Comments: Beth Shluger puts on great races for CT. The Hartford Marathon was no exception. I have regularly participated in her previously races, and I will definitely run this one again. Entertainment, organization, signage, traffic direction, parking... all were top notch.

  • Comments: Liked the race, the massage could have been better, but then again the price was right, $0.00 . The weather made the post race activities not very enjoyable, however, there was great food and good vibes throughout the park.
