I'll be there! This is my first Ironman and I am super excited! I was a volunteer this year at the Special Needs Bike station and had an amazing time.

I have done Texas, Lake Tahoe and Vineman. I have tried multiple times to get into IMAZ over the past couple of years with no luck so I was super stoked to get in this year. I'm from California so it's fairly close for me and I am really looking forward to the course in AZ. Between the heat in Texas and the snow and crazy hills in Lake Tahoe (2013) I'm really hoping the weather is good next year. How about you, many times have you done IMAZ?

Thanks for volunteering this year...I thought some of the volunteers had it tougher than those in the race. Standing in the cold rain would have been miserable. I volunteered at AZ year before last at bike special needs. I got to be the guy with the megaphone shouting out the numbers...it was a lot of fun. No rain but lots of wind that year.

I have done Wisconsin twice, Coeur D'Alene and AZ one time. We moved to Gilbert (suburb of PHX) this year. It was cool being able to train on the course and then having the race right here.

Wow..that must have been some experience at Tahoe (in some way they all are but an Ironman with snow....crazy!).

It'll be fun to share experiences over the next year!

Yes, thanks for volunteering this year. Must have been tough in those conditions. Was certainly appreciated. I will be back at AZ for 2nd time and also signed up for IM Canada.

I am super excited about coming back in 2016 as well. 2015 IMAZ was my first 140.6 and I loved it (despite the cool rain on the bike.) Good luck to all in your training and racing this coming year!

And a huge thank you to all the 2015 volunteers. What an amazing job you did! I volunteered at 2014 IMAZ and if I did half the great job you all did then I am happy. Thanks again!

Since this is the first year you could actually get in by registering online...I had to sign up. This will be my third IM (Vineman '13 and Capitolaman '14) and I am looking forward to and dreading the long hours training. haha

I am coming back for a second crack at this race
It will be my 14th IM race and will be redemption after I raced here in 2008 and got burned and dehydrated massively in that last May race over the course.
Looking forward to a much cooler race than I had there last time

Awfully quiet in here! I hope everyone is surviving the peak training volume and looking forward to a nice taper phase. I am fretting over missing a long bike brick and a long run session due to a torn lower back muscle. I had been doing very well up until then. Now I just want to get to the start line healthy. Curious as to if we will get cold/rain like last year or some good old fashioned AZ heat. Please oh please let it be in between. Getting excited and wishing everyone the best!

Hello All! My good friend Aaron just had his bike stolen this morning off the back of his car at work. He was all set to take off down to Arizona today for the Ironman. I feel so awful for him so I started this gofundme page hoping we could collect a little bit he can put toward a new bike. If you feel like helping him out you will have amazing Karma and be helping one more person who has trained over a year compete alongside you! Thank you!!

Thanks again!

It is my opinion that even though everyone else considered her a triathlete, she did not consider herself one. I think she still felt like she had no fitness direction and had given up on triathlon.
