Master 1639 Robbinsville NJ | Subject: RE: Team #2 - August 4 is More Challenge Not racing this weekend either. Hope to fit in a swim and some speedwork tonight. First (weather permitting) I have to take my daughter to her 2nd Mommy and Me (Daddy in my case) swimming lesson that is almost entirely underwater training. Monday's was rough to say the least though I'm told by others who have gone through it by the end of the week she'll be picking up rings on the bottom of the pool. I hope so as I wasn't feeling like father of the year material as she was screaming bloody murder the 1st session. |

Expert 1117 Shalimar, FL | Subject: RE: Team #2 - August 4 is More Challenge I'm racing a local 5K. It's supposed to be hot and miserable, so I don't expect a good time. Oh well, it's for a good cause (local cross country teams) and I've already paid, so I guess I'll go out there and go through the motions. |

Champion 7546 Santa Cruz, California | Subject: RE: Team #2 - August 4 is More Challenge Sledge - 2009-08-05 3:25 AM Good morning Sultans of Sweat (we did decide to go with that, right?) -- at least good morning for those in the morning world. Anyone remember the movie "The Truman Show" -- good morning, good evening, and good night -- that's the case with this group since we're all over the place. What's going on today? I'm heading out for my morning run shortly, and also plan a bike ride later. Then there's that 4-letter word beginning with "w" in between my run and ride. I mostly love my job, but right now I could use a vacation -- or as someone in a previous challenge group said, a traincation! traincation....LOVE IT! have a good run...bike and _w_ _ today! |

They have been spectacular throughout the entire house process and now I want to reward them with some good ole summer fun. Too bad the weather sucks this morning. I hope it clears up and we can hit the beach/pool/sprinkler park/lake or something. If not, the park and ice cream it is! ERICA I hope your weather clears (definately not a pool day here either) though..... the park and icecream sounds like an excellent PLAN B. can i come? stacieb ^^^^you sure its not a swim day!? look whos waiting for you! The swim will be shorter (1/4 mile vs. 1/2 mile) and I have a different (read: lighter) bike. But it's supposed to be 96!! Now for most of you that has been the norm - but as I mentioned Chi-town has been really mild and I'm not used to doing these temps. I just REALLY hope I won't be starting too late...or else I'll be crossing the finish line closer to noon - - yuck! yuck! But I will DEFINITELY have to hydrate more than my last tri that was in the 70's!! |

We were riding around lunch time but it's just too hot and humid now. I'm gradually increasing the miles each week to get ready for the Century race on Labor Day. Luckily I have a job where everything revolves around staying in shape and we have very flexible work out schedules. Edited by BozNC 2009-08-05 12:40 PM |

Elite 4372 Connecticut | Subject: RE: Team #2 - August 4 is More Challenge I tried to go to the track to do my speed work but, there is a family event going on. I am not about to try to dodge people again. The last time I did that, I ran over a few dudes who were playing a softball game. They didn't even look before they crossed the track. Stupid men. I plowed them over and told them to watch out. So, I will try to go back this evening after dinner and maybe it will be empty and cooler too! |
