Hi there! I got the ole message about contacting support (nicely) about today's workout not uploading... not sure how to send the file your way?

While I'm here... Got my Garmin for Christmas and am LOVING it and loving putting workouts into BT. However, I do have lots of problems and I'm not sure if it's because I have the Garmin TC sw loaded or what? Sometimes BT can't find my device, sometimes it hangs at an odd percentage of loading, sometimes it crashes while uploading the workout. Through trial and error I can always get my workout in, but many times I do reset the Garmin a few times, turn it on and off, etc. It can be tedious, but I don't want to be a complainer!

If I uninstall the Garmin sw will my device still talk to my computer? Is that the best route to go?

I have gotten into the habit of resetting my device after workouts so the multisport mode doesn't trip it up. Any other suggestions?

Thanks so much for all you do!!

Kyla

Not finding the device, hanging at odd percentages etc. are all issues with the Garmin Communicator software. It isn't interacting with the BT code at that point yet.

What I recommend is uninstalling and reinstalling Garmin Communicator. I had to do that myself last week because I was getting the hanging at odd percentages thing on one computer. Other computers were all uploading the same workouts from the same 305 without problems. That cleared the problem right up.

In the past I've found that if I download my workout to my garmin software first, then it loads promptly on BT w/o saying it can't find the device.  Yesterday I didn't need to do that step; I had forgotten to do it and it still downloaded to BT which surprised me.  Then today I got the BT error message -- I've never had a problem before, and it downloaded to the garmin software 1st w/o a hitch.

So, my Garmin downloaded today....it found today's workout...but when I went to upload it to BT I get the same message that kkcbelle gets.  And sorry but I don't know how to send you the file either.

So, I think it's a BT problem....since mine talked to the communicator just fine....

And no, I don't have any cookies for you.  I don't have any household goods to bake them with!

Crud. That was me.

I uploaded a change early this morning to speed up the processing for larger files and I left one of the flags for my development environment in the file.

Sorry folks.

Hi,

I got the same message today as well. I have all cookies accepted and I also cleared my cache and tried again, with the same result. This is the first time ever that I have encountered a problem uploading from my garmin. The problem seems to be in sending the data to BT.

Thanks for all the work you do and quick action on the problems that arise.

Scott

Everything worked perfectly for me, thanks!! I did delete/reinstall the Communicator stuff, so maybe that will help with the quirks I was having before; if nothing else I should have the latest and greatest.

Thanks again for all you do!!!
