Read an article on Conrad Steltz (Xterra super-dude): 28 hrs a week.

I would imagine many of them would tell you 168 hours per week, as every aspect of their life is geared toward their training.

Does resting count for "hours"?  I mean your not training but your "actively" recovering?

Read some of their blogs, Like Bree Wee talks about her mad training, hours of swimming and 20 mile runs.  Lindsey Corbin biking over 600 miles a week.  Its jaw dropping, but probably rather do that then sit in a cubicle for 40 hours a week.

ooohhh, blogs. I am not that familiar with triathlete pros. Which pros have blogs? I know of Chrissie Wellington's....no one else's though...

I read Bree Wee's, too.  Agreed, she definitely seems to prefer it over a typical job.

Chris McCormack is one of my favorites... here is his blog. Not really specific hours, but you get an idea of his schedule.

I have the honor calling Ain-Alar Juhanson (fastest bike on Kona 2008) a friend and I know that he does 38-40hs a week in peek weeks. Mostly long stuff, but some nasty intervals as well.

You can check out TJ Tollakson's log online here: http://www.tollakson.com/Sponsors.htm

One of the few pro's I am aware of that actually posts what he does and has his training plan laid out for all to see.
