Subject: Aargh no new lines in posts
http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp... -- I edited several times to break my text into paragraphs, but no matter what I tried I can't get a new paragraph. Enter, numpad enter, html disabled, enabled etc. This is 3 lines down. I am using IE8 on Win7, all patches. This is a new issue and doesn't seem to happen on the other forums I'm posting on.

test

hardcoing html
Hrm text is also centered. Off to check profile settings...

Your "Use rich editor for blog and forum posts?" setting is set to "Yes", but you're not seeing the Rich Text Editor toolbar when posting?

We recently made a change to not show the Rich Text Editor when using a mobile device. Are you using anything to change your browser's User Agent?

Nope, I don't have an iphone and my blackberry has never been to this site.

I did have the igoogle app installed at one point but I went back to just normal google home cause it's quicker.

Edit: This is only looking ok because I'm typing the [p][/p] tags explicitly.

Definately no editor bar at the top and all the text gets squished after posting no matter how many line feeds I put in. Thx!!

Oh, should be no proxy/browser agent hider/masker. My only resident app is BitDefender which is a common AV program.

Something is either messed up in the browser cache, or is preventing the required javascript files from being downloaded.  Try clearing IE's cache/temp files etc. If that doesn't work, try using another browser and see if the RTE shows up.

This is my home browser agent entry:

Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+8.0;+Windows+NT+6.1;+Trident/4.0;+SLCC2;+.NET+CLR+2.0.50727;+.NET+CLR+3.5.30729;+.NET+CLR+3.0.30729;+Media+Center+PC+6.0;+Creative+AutoUpdate+v1.40.01)

I will clear cache etc when I get home - the editing bar etc seems fine on this work computer.

You sure you're not killing my bar cause of the media center entry? I stream to my playstation which is about when this started happening.

We believe we have a fix for this. We'll get it uploaded in the next day or so and you can try it out.

Khyron, we've moved something live for this. Can you see if it took care of your issue and let us know?
