Subject: training scheduleI am a new triathlete ( just wanted to say that ), and am training for my first Olympic Tri. It is Aug. 29th and I am only logging about 5 hours a week. I am really concentrating on running (the hardest part for me ) and run 3x week, swim 2x, bike 2x. The triathlon training schedule I down loaded from beginnertriathlon.com has an average of 7-81/2 hrs/week. I am able to swim a mile easily, I think I can bike 25 miles OK. I am mostly spinning a few times a week as I am waiting for my new road bike, and I run a 10k once a week (very HARD for me ) I stop 3 times and walk a 10th of a mile to "recover". Just curious what any thoughts on this regimine are. I was going to taper just one week instead of 2, as I really need the training time. Also I take off one day a week.
