A young lady that was working in our local firemen's fest last Fri. night had a pierced tongue and bottom lip.  Nice girl, but I couldn't talk with her that long because I can only focus on those things and I find it a nuisance.  But that's just me.

Funny story: a friend in grad school got sick of always being begged for change, and finally when this guy with a ton of visible piercings asked for change, my friend flipped out and yelled at him to "recycle the $%#@ scrap metal in his head, buy some decent clothes and get a $%#@ job!!!"  Shoulda sheen puncture boy's face! Hilarious!!

Messes up your speech and teeth, so it's not for me.  I do find it kind of distracting when I talk to people who have them.

You know what Chris Rock said about the subject.  (if you don't, then google it). 

 

They don't particularly bother me but it seems like a thing of the past.  When I was in college it seemed like nearly everyone had one.
