Subject: RE: How Does This Work - 4 x 50m Freestyle Swim, leave on 01:16 / 50mTXGreyhoundGuy - 2009-08-03 11:38 AM I'm planning on a nice 1300m workout today and saw this in my swim plan:
4 x 50m Freestyle Swim, leave on 01:16 / 50m
I know I'll be doing 4 sets of 50 meters, and the description says to "start every 50m set on the defined time period. The departure time combines your swimming target time and rest time, so the faster you go the more rest you will have. Conversely, the slower you swim, the less rest time you will have."
Does this mean I have 1:16 to finish the 50m? So if I finish the 50m in 1:04, I have 12 seconds to rest?
-Joel You are correct however I am curious who you or your coach come up with the 1:16???? send of. Why not just 1:15.... 1:16 and your doing all kinds of goofy math to figure out each send off. Whereas 1:15 your always sending off :15,:30,:45,:60 |
