Hi all,

after spending a couple of years travelling around latin america in a landrover - check that story here - http://ihana.com/
i was in pretty poor shape! so i started doing some gym work before realizing i needed a goal to aim at.. tri seemed like a good idea at the time!

3 months training later i was ready for my first race..
http://ihana.com/barry/womb_tri/womb_tri.htm

now i am hooked and am doing the munich (in germany) sprint end of may. maximum respect to BT, picked up some good hints. my plan is to do 2 more sprints then aim at an olympic distance end of the summer ;o)

happy training
Barry

Welcome to BT Barry. Sounds like an ambitious goal, but also sounds like you will do OK. Be sure and post a race report after the May sprint, along with your own description of how the race went for you.

Welcome! And great job with the first Tri!!

Nice photo's. It was nice to see the race photos b/c I haven't experienced a tri, and to see some of the setups was helpful. Best of luck with your goals before year end.

  • .and what happens when you mix lots of alcohol with cycling - the pictures dont show the three smashed off teeth (including both front ones) either - ouch!! lucky my head took the main impact so no lasting damage ;o)
