Subject: Did it!!!

Well I did it, "My first triathlon". Even though it was a pretty poorly ran event. It rocked! Can only get better eh! Now I got the fever!! What's next?? Where can I go to look for upcoming events in the lower mainland?

I'm living in Vancouver. BC is such a great place to do this sport. I have most of the information put in for the race report so I can post it but I am still waiting on the times for the race, the organizers had said they would post them with in 12 hours. But I haven't seen them posted yet. Thanks for the links on the tri race sites.

CONGRATS!! Well done. I just ran my first last weekend too! Pretty poorly run but the experience rocked!! It is definitely only up from here. Which day did you run on? I ran on the Sunday race.

If your looking for events there is a sprint coming up in Vancouver on Sept 1, 2008. I might try to do a late sign up...maybe we'll see you there.

Nice job!!! I also ran on Sunday the 10th. Man was it a cold swim eh! What is the name of the triathlon on the first of Sept? I'm interested for sure. Do you live in Van?

I was one of the lucky ones that wore a wet suit!! The water wasn't too bad...

Just realized who this was. I met you race day and we talked about time...goals...and you left me in your water wake. Just to let you know, I was able to pull off a huge tantrum off of the double up!!!

did the OLY for this race last year, I thought it was a really well put together race. Had a lot of fun....here is my RR from it if you are interested....

Can't make the sept tri, and October is probably nearing the end of the season. Might have to wait till spring? What mm of wet suit do you have? I will need to get one for the next race.

I wear a 3/2 suit. It's not bad but it doesn't fit the greatest in the neck and chest. It let's in a little too much water. But it works, it helps me float pretty good. that helps cause i'm not the greatest swimmer. you can always rent to try one out too.
