Thanks to TriMom217 for reminding me that baseball starts today.

And I'd forgotten that the Expos are no more and that the Washington Nationals are back in DC for their third or fourth incarnation.

I use to love the Washington Senators as a kid.  Frank "Hondo" Howard and his homers were so cool.  I had a Senators' batting helmet that I think my mom gave away when I left home.

I'm happy for all the folks in DC who, for whatever reason, are not Orioles fans, but I was hopping that the Expos would move to a latin market like Monterrey Mexico.  Baseball needs to move south of the US border.  It seemed like Monterrey would work.

Although I'm obviously a Sox fan, being stuck in DC I'm psyched for the Nationals, especially since they're an NL team so I will have no problem rooting for them. It'll be nice being able to go to a game w/o driving up 95 in ridiculous traffic to see the O's. But for some reason I'm still bugged by people who call them the "Nats".

Now the only question is, when Pedro and the Mets show up, do I chear for Pedro or yell "Who's your Daddy?"
