Subject: Do I sign up for the Long Beach Sprint?
After my first sprint tri (Camp Pendleton in July) I was all pumped up ready to do another one.  I have kept the training in anticipation of doing LB in September.  However, now that time has passed and my bank account is running low I am not so sure.  Anyone do this one last year?  Is it worth the $135 it is going to cost me?

This was my first race in 2006, and I've done it every year since.  It's a well organized race and a good, scenic, mostly flat course.  You can also do a search in Race Reports and hear about other peoples' experiences.

Whether it's worth $135 is something only you can decide, but it's definitely a fun race.

I did it two years ago as my first and plan to do it this year as my 10th! I love it! Here's my race report...

I've done it once.  For me, I don't think any sprint is worth $135 though.  I recall it being expensive when I did it (and also signed up late)

Just got an email with the wave starts, don't think they're on the website yet:

7:00   Elite, collegiate and M 29 & under

7:03   F 34 & under

7:06   M 30-34 & 50+

7:09   M 35-39 & 45-49

7:12   M 40-44 & Clydes

7:15   F 35-49

7:18   F 50+, Relays, Athena

Also noticed that the expo and packet pickup on Saturday are at St Mary Medical Center in downtown Long Beach, not at the Queen Mary where it's been in past years.
