Subject: RE: Computrainer vs. Power meterpschriver - 2009-11-24 9:11 PM I plan to ask Santa for one of these to improve my bike split. I'm a fairly strong cyclist but am always trying to get faster. I like the idea that the computrainer has a return policy if you don't have a noticable improvement in you speed/power. Cost is not a factor, but I was wondering which of these toys should give me the best performance increase Neither unless you do the work. Both are data collectors with different features but it si what you do with that data that can enable you to train more efficiently hence improving in a shorter period of time. Depending what power meter you are considering my answer will change; if it is an SRM, Quarq or Power Tap then the power meter. If it is an iBike or Polar then the CT. ** If you are considering an SRM let me know, our head coach is a distributor... |
