The GOAL: No Mindless Eating

The CHALLENGE: Put everything you eat on a plate.  Yup, no eating out of the bag, directly from the buffet table or grabbing just a forkful of dressing every time you open the fridge.  All food has to go on a plate or bowl and sit there for a minute or two before eating.  Maybe the inconvenience of finding a plate and doing the dishes will keep us from eating more than we want.  At a minimum it will slow us down!!!

No teams, goals or any fancy stuff.  Just post your successes and encourage others here!

What a good idea. I'm not a taker, as I don't like to do dishes, and I don't have a table to eat at. But I'm sure if I did I could take off the extra 40 pounds I'm carrying.

score one for me today.

typically i would measure out my trail mix that i take w me to eat after my workouts, but lately ive been taking the BIG CONTAINER and just eating out of it while im driving home from the Y (usually to run errands)

of course eating out the container even though its trail mix im still eating WAY MORE THAN I SHOULD.

this morning as im heading out the door, i thought i didnt have time to measure out my trail mix, but thought 'better of it' because of this challenge.

so i stopped.  measured.  put the single serving of trail mix in a ziploc bag and took it to the Y to have my workout.  [SERIOUSLY....how much time does that actually take???]

i KNOW had it not been for this challenge, i still be gnoshing out the BIG BOWL.......

thanks again KATHY for this one!
