Good things week of 6/8

My son completed Kinder. Proud of him for the diversity of his awards - Character, Sports (Only kinder to run a marathon's worth of miles over school year), academics (met threshold for reading award on first day).

Because I did not report out last week, my wife won Mental Health Program Manager of the Year for San Diego County (in her first year in SD).

I get to celebrate my husbands birthday tonight by taking him out to a lovely dinner.

I raced my first race of the season last week and it was the best early season results I've ever had!

* My daughter comes home from 5th grade camp today. I'm sure she'll have lost her voice from singing.

* Had a great meeting with some representatives of the bike club that we're working with to put on 2 races this summer. And an awesome bike shop sponsorship came through!

* We're all healthy.

Last week of unemployment!

Got a new bike. Assembled it myself. Getting a fit today!

Got 5th overall woman in my first Aquathlon (800m swim, 3 mile run)

FINALLY - a good week!

My daughter finished first grade, and made A honor roll - so proud!  

I have been running everyday, and have shaved off a little time per mile consistently! 

My son never ceases to amaze me at the lengths he will go to in order to annoy his sisters! 

I have a really fun weekend planned with kids birthdays and BBQ's.  I plan on kicking some 8 year old bootie in SkeeBall! 

My older daughter graduates high school this week.

We have an application to host a foreign exchange student from VietNam in the works (much to my younger daughter's protests)

Well, her voice is fine, but she got "Honor Cabin" for being in the "Best Girls Cabin" for the camp.

This was last week but it still is amazing: 

My son's IEP meeting went well and for the first time ever the school finally admitted that they cannot meet his needs and are willing to pay for whatever summer school program we want.  This is HUGE as our district is very unwilling to out placements.  We are looking at two programs this week and then will decide (and our district will also provide transportation, another win!).

This week: 

• We had a wonderful week on vacation in North Carolina.  Lots of boat/jet ski time as a family.
• All three kids were caught fish this week.
• My middle guy overcame his fear of the water and was swimming like a fish by the time we left.
• We made it home safely last night and had a wonderful reunion with our two doggies.

I've been home in Vancouver since Monday

Spent lots of time with the family and I got to have a fantastic night out with about 30 people coming out to say hello, have drinks and just generally get together which was all kinds of awesome.

Best thing about today though... 3 more sleeps until I fly to Chicago!!!
