Subject: How to get sick and tired of Rocky Top
Go see a football game in Neyland Stadium.

HOLY COW, they played that song every time a TN player was substituted in the game, I believe. Come to think of it, perhaps they just played it over and over the whole game and it only registered that frequently.

Gitmo should take notes...

And it is inescapable.  I was listening to Prairie Home Companion on Saturday night.  The show was a duet singing contest.  One of the groups sang Rocky Top.  No mention was made of Tennessee or the football game.  I had to laugh that it was a Vol fan joke.

When I first moved to Memphis 10 years ago, that was the first thing I noticed about TN. Rocky Top is everywhere. Orange is everywhere!  I am sick of Rocky Top and Orange!

 

 

But I have to hand it to their fans, they are devoted!

I have to hand it to your fans they are fans through the thick and thin in football... basketball not so much. 

 

My office mate is a die hard Vol fan and it's getting pretty rough over here

Whatever we can do to make them feel welcome in the Gator Nation.

On a positive note, at least Rocky Top has words and notes and you mostly have to be a musician to play it.  Play Florida State and it sound like a Garbage man trying to tell his truck driver to stop.
