...Trix are for kids.

I just got back from the grocery store with my 2 boys.  I snagged a box of Trix cereal, haven't had Trix (the cereal) in about 20+ years.

I don't remember them being so good.

(then again, when finishing my bowl of Trix, it usually meant I had to run to catch the bus and spend the day being scolded by Sister Margaret in Catholic scool)

Trix is now whole wheat ha ha ha ha ha

(and I just realized I forgot to buy Brita filters. Fudge!)

Uses whole grain, not to be confused with whole wheat. But it doesn't matter; it's fortified with VITAMINS and MINERALS, so it must be good for you!

I love mixing Trix and Kix.

That's quite the fix.  I like listening to The Fixx.  That's how I learned my licks.  I better nix since it's almost six.

Be careful.  Too much sugar, and you might start to have tics.

Spokes - 2009-03-27 10:23 AM They don't have enough fiber to make you poo right though. And all that sugar!

Reasons #1 and #2 as to why they are the Nectar of the Gods.

Our mom never bought us Trix. Or Fruity Pebbles, or many of the other sugary cereals. We were allowed to get the small boxes when we went on vacations, so that's how I got my cocoa puffs kick, or whatever.

Never had Cap'n Crunch until college. Wasn't impressed.

As kids, we ate raisin bran, cheerios and honey nut cheerios, rice crispies, honey bunches of oats, life and cinnamon life (actually cinnamon life was probably my favorite), lots of oatmeal; treats were frosted mini-wheats, frosted flakes, the snack packs on vacation, the OCCASIONAL box of cocoa puffs or cocoa crispies.

Yes, we were deprived, I know.

We had the same thing as kids.  When we went on vaca and got the little boxes, we all fought for the stuff we usually ate...everything else was gross.  We did have Raisin Squares, though.  I miss those.  So good.
