Subject:Roswell 22 Mile Ride Tuesday, July 7th 6pm @ RAP
Ride Description We are doing the Roswell Ride on Tuesday 6pm leaving from the Roswell Area Park upper parking lot. Starting at Roswell Area Park we ride through Historic Downtown Roswell. We then take a few good hills followed by a ride down Riverside along the Chattahoochee, with alot of good hills along the way back to the finish. See the map below for the full route and elevation profile.
A & B Group We usually break into an A and a B group. I lead the B group and the A group is led by whatever fast people show up. The A group is not no drop. If you get dropped by the A group and don't know the route, stop, consider yourself in the B group, andwe will be along shortly... Last week the group was so large, we split into about five different pace groups. We had an A+ and A, B+, B- etc. The A+ group hammered it last week, averaging almost 18mph on the hilly Roswell Route. See more details in Brian's ride report below.
Don't forget your running shoes and Taco Mac Passport! We do a short 1.5 - 3 mile run around RAP after the ride, before heading up to Taco Mac for some well earned refreshment. We usually arrive at Taco Mac around 8:15pm and it's located at 685 Crossville Rd in Roswell, GA.
Weather Guideline It's currently forecasted to be Partly Cloudy and in the high 80s which should make for good riding weather. No Drop The B group is a No Drop ride in case any of you want to ride but are not sure of yourself.
Awesome Turnout Last Week! We had 24 riders last Tuesday Night. It was a huge ride and surely the highwatermark for the summer. With everyone so busy with family, work, and training, it was great to have everyone take time out to ride together on Tuesday night. Everyone had a group at their pace to ride with, which made for a great ride. It just shows what vibrant and active triathlon community we have in the North Atlanta Multisport Club and on BT in Atlanta.
Directions once you turn into Roswell Area Park Go to the first street on your right which will take you up to the Community Activity Center where we park. Generally we all park together in front of the Community Activity Building where there is access to Water and restrooms. If there happens to be a swim meet at the Community Activity center that day, parking may be limited in front of the building. Just park anywhere and ride your bike over to the front of the building at 6pm.
I'm running Late getting to the Ride, how long will you wait? If you make it into the community center parking lot by 6:00pm the group will wait for you to depart. As a Triathlete, the expectaction is you will make a speedy transition to your bike in under 5 minutes!
Contact Info PM me for my Cell Number. It's also on the North Atlanta Multisport Club Directory for members of our club. http://www.northatlantamultisport.org/
I think I am most likely out today. Might change my mind but I just ran 21.
Since I am not really training for anything I don't see the point of wearing myself out completely today. There are other days this week to get in workouts.
