I like Comet, and this is why...

She is, but that's got nuthin' to do with why I like her...

Chucky-I appreciate your opinion on my looks, but it does make me a little uncomfortable (yes people, thats what I said). I like to have fun on the site, but do not want to be liked or have friends (or BT friends) because you think I'm "hot." Lets tone down those comments please, I do not want this thread or any thread to be about that.

Jim, thanks for starting this to try to make me feel better (but I didn't need this kind of thread or compliments to be ok about myself-I like who I am for the most part), and it is very sweet and think you're a great friend, no matter your looks--gold chains and all. I love this site and cannot express how great it is to have met friends like you , Janelle, Welshy, Brett and James...and others that I know I'm forgetting. We all have differences of opinion and lifestyles. Janelle, Jim and I have very different beliefs on a wide range of subjects, but have become great friends. I love how you accept me, craziness, diapers, and all "normal" in between (by the way, you might want to consider one for peachtree next year).

HIJACK:
I would like to thank Janelle again for rescuing me on side of the road. She did what I needed true friend do, and made fun of me for hours. She sat at Waffle House for over an hour and a half while we waited for the wrecker and proceeded to tease me endlessly about a wide variety of topics (including my cell phone).  She listened to me being upset, drove me to the repair shop and then to rent a car to leave town--after I told her I would stay with her for the evening.....ok, I'm hijacking the thread about me....but I just wanted to express my gratitude again. Thanks Janelle, and I will listen to you analyze anyone anytime you wish  

Ok...back to thread...I like Comet because she's fun to be with. I like Comet because she likes to make people laugh and loves to have a good time. I like Comet because for the most part, she is quite normal, and she is not hyper all the time (really not as much as you think). She gets really excited about races, is always on high alert at race time and can't contain herself, so much so that she goes out too hard and bonks--and laughs when her friends make fun of her for it. She is driven, hardworking (when there is work to do) and just wants to be happy with herself.

Jim, I really appreciate your kind words more than you know. I'm glad you have taken to my humor, no matter what the type, and WELCOME TO THE DARK SIDE. Thank you for the strength comment, that means a great deal to me. Thank you for being you and for being such a strong positive person. Your athletes (ahem Janelle) are lucky to have a coach like you.

You're welcome . But htis thread isn't about making you feel better, just about spreading the love. I like Comet because she's strong, and grounded, and that she can take care of her damn self. I like Comet because she doesn't need other people to "make" her feel better. I like Comet because she knows that's her own job.
