First, this is not a marketing ploy to attract more attention to my sale as I do not intend to ship. Too much head ache.

I'm looking for advice to see if I am in the ball park with my asking price on this package, or am I too optimistic?
Had a look on ebay but there wasn't anything comparable.

Having just bought a used tri bike after months of searching it seems there is no rhyme or reason to a lot of peoples prices.

But the price your asking would be good to know for comparison sake.

Holy smokes!

I haven't bike shopped in a while (my wife makes the most vile threats ). But that looks like a steal to me!

Very nice package and good price IMO. I think the size is your only limiter, small audience for that size and for the 650 wheels.

If I were you I would go to the LBS and get a price for packing and shipping a bike. Then put the bike on eBay with a Buy it Now price and set your shipping price according to your quote. eBay will give you a much larger audience and given your low (IMO) asking price I can see someone paying to ship it, and all you have to do is drop it at the LBS and give them the address to ship it to.

I like Aaron's idea about Ebay.

But for one more possibility.  Depending on how close you are with your LBS.

I bought my trusty Steel Bianchi back in the day from a shop where the owner of the bike made a deal with the shop owner: I buy a new bike from you, you keep my bike in the show room and I'll give you 10% of the sale on that old bike.

I paid $800 (my first paycheck in the Marine Corps) for it and have ridden it ever since (including this morning).

If it's Celeste Green-then it's AWESOME.  If not, it's still pretty cool-STEEL IS REAL!

It is definitely Celeste Green.  Some idiot bike shop put black tape on the handlebars a few years ago saying "White tape looks dirty sooner."  Black tape on a Bianchi should be a crime! It's White Tape, Celeste Green!!!

I get lots of compliments on her as I ride around here.  I call her my Sophia Loren.  Old Italian Lady, but still beautiful.

In 2005, I bought a used Schwinn Peleton.  It had about 1000km ridden on it.  MSRP was, I think around $2250.  Add tax and the bike would cost $2580.    It was missing the rear Ritchey wheel, but was replaced with a generic one.  I paid $1000 and felt like I made a very good purchase.

So perhaps you want to follow this model:  40% of retail price if practically new, 30% of retail price if sufficiently used, and less if there are significant problems.

Here is a picture of the bike I found on the web:

Guess I'll be talking to the LBS, so far no bites on the local CL classified.

I know very little about bikes - but that looks like a steal!

I definitely think you shouldn't eliminate shipping option, but know what it will cost and charge them for it. It will still be a good price, even if it costs $100ish to have shipped. I'm guessing the biggest cost will be if you ship it stateside...

That sounds like a good price to me.

Would you consider selling the Zipps separately? That might be easier. I don't really know though.

I am in the market for a disk, but not 650C unfortunately.

Do those Zipps look familiar? Or is it just me?
