Subject: RE: training in the heatAfter awhile, you get used to the heat. Drink lots and lots of fluids before the workout (helps if you start doing this a day or so before ), and lots during.
I swim in the mornings, and it only takes me an hour (including driving time ). I get everything ready to go the night before. I put my clothes for work in the car as well as my swim bag. Then I pack most of my lunch in the fridge. In the morning, all I have to do is throw on my suit, grab my lunch, and go. I then swim for about 30 mins, and shower & change at the locker room at work on the way in. It just takes getting a routine down to be efficient.
In the evenings, I either do a run around sunset time, or do a night ride on the bike. That way, it's not so hot out. |
