I had used the Motorola Q up until March and got a BB>

I really liked the Q except the calendar was brutally slow.

Windows Mobile suuuuuuuuuucks. I've got it on my work phone and it's awful. My G1's Android OS is way nicer.

I've got a Treo that runs Windows Mobile.  It is the first and last phone I will own that runs that OS...

what about the OS of 6.5?  Older versions I hear are super slow but the new version is super fast.

Had a Treo, have the blackjack now.

It becomes less annoying as I expect less of it.
To be fair, the main reason for this is that the jack for the sync cable stopped transferring data.
It has happened on two different phones, so I am more inclined to blame it as a hardware flaw.

Regardless, it limits my functionality.
I do not interface with my computer.

My only interface is with my work exchange server - which is limited to mail, to-do list, calendar, and contacts. (Luckily, I was able to sync the software before it broke.

I had no problems with my Treo, and I loved my Treo's (had both Palm and Windows platform).

My advice is, unless you live in a 100% windows environment, where you use and rely on a lot of Microsoft apps and your employer only supports this platform.  Otherwise, only consider it for the Treo in a competitive comparison of the other phones based on your needs.

I personally can't stand windows mobiles phones. I think they are slow and battery drainers. Several years ago, I had a HTC wizard. It was decent but I didn't know how slow it was until I got a blackberry. It was like night and day. Not only is the push email technology so much faster but the program response is super quick on the BB.

Just last Thursday, I was offered a free upgrade so I went with a windows mobile 6.1 phone. Received it and again, slow response and also, the push from exchange 2007 server is a battery drainer.

Earlier today, I returned the windows mobile phone and reactivated the BB.

Good luck with windows mobile.

Yeah, I have the Q9c right now...it's okay, but just okay. I have an Ipod touch that I use for more than my phone. I would likely go to BB or try something else next time.

I think mine's running 6.1, but I don't think it really matters. 6.5 could resurrect my childhood dog and it still would suck to use compared to Android.

I have a dead phone right now, and am using a loaner from a friend.  I've been eying the new Android phones that VZW rumored to be releasing soon.  Not a fan of Big Red, but I hear the T-Mobile network sucks.  Could go iPhone, but I like a physical keyboard, and am tempted by the plethora of free Android apps. I just don't want to wait.

I've been waiting for a good new smartphone from "big red".  I was hoping for the Palm Pre rumored in 2010, but now that seems to not be happening.

The Moto Droid does appear to be looking pretty good though.  In theory available 12/01.  We'll see.  If it comes out, I'll finally be upgrading my Gen 1 LG Chocolate phone.  And while I think WebOS ( on the Pre ) is pretty cool, Android seems to have better traction in the app department.
