Evolution debate is over

Is it good?

After all the hype, it got poor reviews in the theaters, but I assume it's worth a rental at RedBox.

It's worth $1 rental.

It is not even remotely close to being as good as any of the original Alien movies, but it's not terrible.

I'd give it the same assessment.  Special effects were very good, but the plot seemed a little weird to me and I had more questions than answers at the end of the movie.

I saw it in the theaters, IMAX I think. So I paid the big bucks to see it.

I found it very disappointing. The science was bad, the plotting was uneven, the atmospherics were not that great. I thought Aliens was better than Alien, but Alien at least gave you enough time with the characters that you cared about them, and their motivations and interactions made some sense.

I think the Honest Trailer for this really nailed the problems overall (warning - spoilers in the trailer)

I might pay $1 to rent it. Then again, I paid to see Alien v. Predator, so my standards are clearly low...

Completely; so accurate. I liked it as a I-don't-want-to-think-today kind of movie. Great CGI, entertaining storyline (for swiss cheese), and...umm...yah, it was entertaining to watch.
