Elvis is indeed not dead and is working at an IHOP in Nashville (or was my freshman year of college 15 years ago ....good lord has is been that long?) although he forgot his "words" in the kitchen and had to go get them. We were then serenaded by the worst version of "Love Me Tender" that I have ever heard.....ok maybe he is dead.

Near my town is a little town called Versailles.  In the seventies, an eccentric fellow built himself a large castle on the edge of town. (Get it? The castle of Versailles?) He went broke soon after, and the place sat empty for decades.  Local folklore held that Elvis lived there when he was not riding around in flying saucers.  (Sadly, the castle was gutted by fire a couple of years ago)

He lived in Cocord, North Carolina and worked as a dishwasher at Troutman's Barbecue until about 3 years ago. They say he passed away, but I think he just moved on to the next adventure.

He lived in my town for a while and worked as a handyman.  One day he say a girl being hassled by some troublemakers and when he tried to break it up they turned on him.  He said, "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" and then turned into this gia--, oh wait.  That was someone else.

Nope, he's dead.

I live in Northwest Ohio. One of my running buddies has a construction company and he was telling me Sunday that there is a guy who works at GM and does Elvis impersonations on the weekend. He is building a house along the Maumee River that is supposed to be a replica of Graceland. There was a group of us, so then the conversation changed to "who is more pitiful: the Elvis impersonators or the people who pay to see them (and act like he's real)?"
