The best advice I can give you is to take it VERY slow when you start off on the swim, or you will find yourself treading water, gasping for any air you can get. Just start off MUCH slower than you first feel you should, and after about 100 m, as you're working up to a good pace, you'll get to enjoy passing all the people who didn't take this advice. :- ) The water is a bit chilly, so a wetsuit might be a good idea, but isn't necessary. The run and bike are fast if you're doing the sprint, because you get to turn around at the base of the hills. It's a beautiful race. You'll have a great time!! |
