If  you have small children.  Child proof the home.  Very sad story.

Yeah, that's horrible. Most of the tragedies in this guy's life have been self-inflicted. Obviously not the case here. Positive vibes going out to the family....

I never knew he even had children.  This is quite sad.  I hope she recovers with no problems.

Another precious child undeservedly taken.

Yes, prayers to his family and her path to heaven. I cant even fathom what they feel right now. I'm gonna hug my kids hard tonight and every night.

Does anyone know what "cord" was hanging from the treadmill? Is it the one you're supposed to clip onto you (but no one ever does) that shuts off the treadmill in case you fall?

I'm so sad for Tyson and his family. The guy just can't seem to catch a break.

  • That's kind of what it sounds like.

Horrible story. I heard an interview with him recently where he said that he decided to quit fighting because he just wanted to spend time with his kids. I remember him holding his little girl on his lap after he lost to Lennox Lewis. Poor guy. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Sad that I saw her pass away on the other thread.

Ironic that one of Iron Mikes greatest quote was him eating Lenox Lewis kids...

Hope he doesn't do anything stupid.  May the little girl RIP.

I mentioned this to my wife last night, and the first thing she did was assume he did something to the child...

I have little respect for Mike Tyson as a person. I have always said he is a great example of boxing's contribution to society, because if he wasn't beating up heavyweights for millions of dollars in the ring, he would be beating up you and me for the money in our pockets. He has proven himself an irresponsible thug many, many times.

However, Tyson didn't deserve this. No one does. I hope he and his family gets through it OK.

Man, as the father of 3, my heart goes out to the Tyson family. I was really hoping she'd pull through.

I heard that she had gotten ahold of some wiring inside the console... or something along those lines. It didn't sound like the cord that shuts the TM off.
