Ok, maybe I'm crazy, but if someone rights to me in my blog, the reply button is right there in my window, so that's where I'm supposed to respond. Then on their own log, my name shows up in their blogged! thing-y. So if they want to come back to look, because they asked me a question or whatever, they just click on it, and it shows any subsequent messages since they wrote me a note.
Of course, what you say about copying everything and moving it over to their log is nice, but I don't think that's the way it was designed.
So here's the mechanism as I see it:
On 11/14/05 SuperTriPerson writes me an inspire me:
"Dana, you are so amazing!! I want to be just like you.
What are you doing so I can do that to???"
The next day
(11/15/05
) dhlundblad responds by hitting the reply button in her own log:
"So sorry, but it's impossible. I can not be duplicated."
Immediately, it says under SuperTriPerson's Blogged!:
dhlundblad 11/15/05
Then SuperTriPerson click's on it and goes back to the same Inspire me box on 11/15/05 and writes:
"Jerk."
Immediately, it says under dhlundblad's Blogged!:
dhlundblad 11/15/05
A subsequent person named KingOfTheWorld posts on the same inspire me thread the next day:
"I don't know, you sound pretty hot to me. Wanna date?"
Immediately, is says under both dhlundblad & SuperTriPerson's Blogged!:
dhlundblad 11/16/05
Everyone
(dhlundblad, SuperTriPerson & KingOfTheWorld
) click on the Blogged! notification and decide that dhlundblad and KingOfTheWorld probably deserve one another.

Does that make sense?? Most of the people who I seem to inspire and who inspire me use this same protocal. Not all of them do, and they post as you mentioned above. If that's the case, I try to respond in such a way so that they won't miss the comment. But it's actually quite handy. It makes it so other people understand the thread of your conversation, their aren't any non sequitors, and all I have to do is click on my Blogged! to find out if there is anything I should know about. It's very convenient.

Ok, that's all. Gotta go for a run now.
