Subject: Cingular sucks So my media on my phone stops working - I go in to the store and am told that it is a warranty issue and that I need to call a number for instructions or go online - I go online - they send me a new phone and have me send the old one back to them - I do. Yesterday, I get the old phone back in the mail with a letter stating that the water damage sticker indicates water damage and that I will now be billed for the replacement phone - funny thing is, there is no way to find out if the damage is under warranty without sending it in and if they decide it's not, you have to not only buy a new phone, but you have to buy the SAME phone. These people may be huge and uncaring and treat their customers in a predatory fashion, but they have no idea who they are dealing with. At lunch today I am going to the store to "lose my mind" in a wild tempest of fury and glorious anger. Then, leaving falling rubble behind me like Chuck Norris leaving a border town bar fight, I will then proceed to the electronic front. After many escalations and about 4 hours of Cingular man hours and several ruined days for cirgular personnel, as well as a copious amount of threats, some valid and some not, I will work this disgusting practice into a new phone with a credit in the amount of the last phone and the remainder of the new phone charges waived.
