I know this is too late for the interview (that's what happens when work interferes with BT ), but present how hiring you with greater experience and less strength is better for his business. How you ask?
What is a guide expected to do? Tossing gear around is really only a small part of the job. Someone who is good with people, anticipates what the client will try to do and minimizes the impact of that action on the rest of the group/environment/gear/etc. will be far more profitable (lower insurance, less scrutiny from regulators, better word of mouth advertising, repeat business... ) than someone who can just throw gear around.
