Subject: RE: Long run hydrationGood question! I am just starting to increase my mileage so I was wondering the same thing. I bought a water bottle belt at REI but I hate it. It bounces at hits me in the back and butt so I don't use it. My mom (who runs marathons) gave me some suggestions. She plans her routes where she can get water at a drinking fountain (at a park) or a building (library, police station, etc.) or she will stash a water bottle along her route in a mailbox (either her's or a friend's). So, with my mom's advice in mind, I planned my route accordingly this weekend. My halfway mark was by the city recereation center so I could hit the drinking fountain - however, the building was locked (oops!). Ah, but I had a Plan B - the library right next store. Turns out their drinking fountain was broken! I think I am going to try one of those amphipod belts! |
