Subject: RE: Vision correction surgery recommendationsvitus575 - 2010-02-17 1:40 PM It realy depends on your problem. My wife's eyes were too far gone for lasik so she went with ICL's and has never been happier. That being said I have to give a disclaimer that the eye surgeon for Barnett Dalaney that does the ICL's is a personal friend. In my opinion the ICL route is nice becuase nothing is permanent. They can take out the ICL's if they ever need to. What I don't like about lasik is they are removing part of the eye.
Good luck, you spoke with two great places. Not sure what else to tell you. Thanks for this feedback. I am skeptical of the Dr at BDP because he pushed ICL so hard. They have ICL posters all over that place. They made me watch 2 videos on ICL before I even saw the Dr. Then he told me I had some corneal condition that made LASIK impossible and ICL was my best option. At the second opinion (Schwartz ) they didn't say anything about a corneal condition, and he told me I'm a good candidate for LASIK. This is my vision, my eyes, and I feel like these guys are acting like car salesmen. That's why I'd like to a 3rd opinion. |
