Eagles’ front office is saying that they are taking a hard line with him. Word here in Philly is that he plays in Eagles Green for the currently signed contract or he doesn't play football till the contract is up.
Oh my god, I'd love to see that. First off, he gets his current contract, which isn't too bad to begin with, so he'd be complaining about nothing all season. Second, he can't get any bonuses for yardage, completions, records or whatever else got written into his contract. Third, he won't be in the spotlight all season, and will be reduced to calling in to Philly sports radio to spout off. Fourth, he has to sit and
not play for anyone else while his last best years slip by. Fifth, and this is the kicker, he has to face
losing to the Philly front office, as they will be clearly losing money in order to beat him in a contract negotiation. And T.O. can take a lot, but I don't think he can take losing in this very public pissing contest.

Not to mention, he has pulled this crap twice now, and is not too likely that another team will even try to pick him up as they don't want to be number three on the hit list.
Yeah, I was with you up until that last comment. Sadly, I would be willing to bet that many, many other teams would line up to get T.O. They would most likely negotiate a smaller paycheck for him, but many teams would sign him up just to get the boost in local ratings and season tickets. T.O. is indeed an ahole, but aholes put butts in seats.
