Tell me it gets better.

I was looking forward to the new series for months and let a few store up on my DVR before watching episode 1 last night.

Meh...

Dag nab it.  That was one of the wife and I's TV time together.  We haven't started this season yet.

I'm actually ok with it being bad.  I really don't need another series to take over my time.  I already had to add a few new ones.  Vikings, Defiance, Banshee.

Lost Spartacus though.  Most of my others on on break, thankfully.

Hijack: I'm almost finished with a double historical fiction novel on the Borgais family - fascinating read. It's centered around Lucrezia though.

It's not bad.  Slightly better than your typical SciFi show when it comes to special effects.  Most shows are pretty low budget when it comes to computer effect.  The monsters/aliens aren't totally laughable...

Oh, btw the sexy white girl was the crazy pyro on Dexter in Season two.  YUMMY.

(Oh, for those who haven't seen it.  When I say "white girl", it's pretty literal - not some racial thing - well, I guess ALIEN race.)

Ok, I have gutted out 4-5 episodes so far.  Still not great, but I usually like the end of each show where there is some climax with a new gadget or contraption he came up with.

I tend to keep it on in the background will I play on the Ipad or working in the kitchen.  Sort of keep my ears open to get a feel for the story but watch the grand finale of each episode.

I tried to watch Banshee on one of those free Cinemax weekends and just couldn't finish one. Then I realized why. It's Cinemax!!!  That show and the other, First Strike I think, are such a weak cover for T&A shows. I thought they were horrible!

It's called "The Borgais: two novels in one volume" - but I don't want to hype it up too much. It's kind of a slow read.
